Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy DML or just Fireboy is a smooth Afro-pop artiste that blends smooth R&B vibes with groovy afro-pop sounds. His smooth sailing vocals have caught the heart of many and helped him grow a cult following. 

Fireboy was born on the 5th of February, 1996 in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Nigeria. He completed his high school in Abeokuta before moving to Ile-Ife to study English Language at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). Damola started singing at a tender age in school and church. He started music professionally in his 2nd year at OAU. After he finished, he moved to Lagos to pursue his dream to become a songster. He started off as a songwriter, writing songs for other artists. Later graduated to making covers and original singles. He birthed some records like Star, King, and Sing (which features his long-time best friend, Oxlade).

During his musical endeavors, someone hit him up saying Olamide was interested in his music. One thing led to another, he got signed officially. He has gone on to release arguably the biggest album of 2019 in Nigeria.

His big break came with the release of the YBNL compilation album where his record, Jealous started gaining tracts.
