Jay Cube’s music career began at a young age, as a member of the choir and later a member of the DMV based group Apexx. The popularity he gained as the lead singer of Apexx fueled his passion for success in the music industry.
After parting ways with Appex, he made a new home in the studio, where he was constantly refining his sound. When performing, his priority is to leave a lasting impression on fans and new listeners. Jay Cube has had the pleasure of opening for well-respected artists such as Davido, Flavour, 2Face, PSquare and Ice Prince, just to name a few.
Not only recognized in the US, Jay Cube’s hit single, “My Type” gained international popularity as the track was on heavy rotation on Nigerian airways and TV stations. With his newly found popularity, Jay Cube released his mixtape "7YC” which featured Yung6ix, Tillaman, Teeklef, Jaywon, and Rukus in 2012.
