Juliani is considered the king of gospel rap in the region. The artist began his career by joining the hip-hop legends Ukoo Flani back in the early 2000s. In 2005, Juliani became a Christian and was signed by Kijiji Records where he collaborated with other Christian artists to form the Hip-Hope Unit that toured schools and colleges around the country.
In 2008, Juliani was signed by the UK based label Gatwitch Records and released his first album. To date, he has received various awards including Groove Awards for Song of the Year (Mtaa Mentality) and U.S. Talanta Award for male artist of the year. His music is very reflective on the state of the country’s affairs and the social ills.
Juliani is very socially conscious and has been involved in a number of initiatives. Currently, he is championing the fight against elephant poaching and is an ambassador for youth farming where he is promoting it as ‘cool’ agribusiness.
