Osaba Ize-Iyama, popularly known as Santi, is an alternative singer, rapper and songwriter that brought a new wave into the Nigerian music scene. He is amongst the leader of the alte community, a community that celebrates freedom of artistic expression. 

Santi was born on the 3rd of June, 1992. The likes of DMX and 2pac inspired him to start rapping and Ozzy B was born. Santi started out as a rapper called Ozzy B and released a mixtape titled, Diaries of a Loner. His music taste started to expand and he felt the need to express himself more with music. He had started listening to Vampire Weekend and Santigold at the time. He decided to switch his mode of creating music totally, but he didn't want to do it abruptly so it wouldn't hurt his already made fans. He decided to release a project titled, Birth of Santi and Santi was born. 

Fast forward to 2015, Santi released a project titled Suzie's Funeral. This marked the uprise of his fame with the hit track, Gangsta Fear, which was produced by and also features Odunsi. In 2018, Santi dropped two singles Freaky featuring Bridge & Nonso Amadi and Rapid Fire featuring Shane Eagle, Amaarae & Tomi Agape. These two singles served as the lead single to his 2019 debut album, Mandy and the Jungle.

His big break came with the release of Suzie's Funeral. The hit single, Gangsta Fear, gained massive tracts across the country.
