TeeKlef, known for his dexterity on the piano and drums; along with his uniquely sonorous voice has music pundits extolling him as one of the brightest talents from Africa since Akon. Still getting attention from his latest release “NOBIS (No Beat Is Safe) – which garnered approximately 2500 downloads within the first 48 hours and over 9,000 units have been downloaded since, TeeKlef is preparing to take his next release to new heights.

Born in Nigeria, to parents with deep-rooted musical backgrounds, the ability to create melodies has always come natural to him. From leading choir renditions, Teeklef developed his talents into a devout singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter. In 2005, Teeklef was lured into a neighborhood music group and they began to perform locally and eventually appeared on a talent show hosted by the Nigerian Television Authority. As his reputation grew in Nigeria, Teeklef accepted an admission offer to the University of Indianapolis in the United States, to pursue a degree in music.

Teeklef decided to take his music all the way. He then invested every dime he made from his nine to five summer job into his art. Eventually, he single handedly built his own recording studio. He wrote, produced, mixed and mastered his own songs in the comfort of his studio(s) on one hand while he studied on the other, creating a balance. Teeklef soon became a minor celebrity at the University of Indianapolis, performing on every campus wide event. Soon major campuses in the Midwest sought after him and he performed at all of them – including Indiana University Bloomington, IN, Manchester University, Manchester, IN and the University of Cincinnati.
