Born in the heart of Lagos Nigeria, Wale Turner- real name Turner Omowaleola – grew up listening to some of the biggest names like Olamide (Nigeria) mo-hits, and of course the one and only Ayinde Barrister, King Sunny Ade. Like most, Wale Turner started off his career as a freestyle rapper managing to get his floss raps on any free beat at the age of 16.
However, the experience didn’t leave Wale Turner disillusioned, as he has released few records since 2016 to this day. Being the creative soul that he is, Wale turner raps in French and has worked with a few record producers in Nigeria; Tefa, Deetunes, Spellz and Pheelz – who produced his first and second official singles.
Through versatility, Wale Turner was able to spark relationships and has written for other music artists such as Tiwa Savage, Yungsix, Ice prince, Iceberg slim, and Kayswitch on different featured tracks. Even with these little achievements to date, who knows what the future holds for this young artist, in Wale Turner's words he plans to “create timeless music that will hopefully last longer for many generations”.
